How to Play Live Baccarat - Basics
Live baccarat is one of several live casino games and is one of the most favorite games of the gamblers. The game has only three options 'Player', 'Banker' and 'Tie'. There are mainly three kinds of live baccarat games: "Baccarat chemin de fer", "Baccarat Banque" and "Punto banco".
In this game, 2-9 numbered cards are valued at their face value, whereas 10, Jack, Queen and King have 0 value. An Ace is considered valued at one point. If the total card value is more than 10, then score will be Total Card value – 10. So, for a card total of 21, your score would be 1.
At the start of the game, two cards are first passed face-down to the players and then to the banker each. The cards are then turned over and the dealer counts the total points obtained by each player. If any player or the banker gets 8 or 9, no more cards are dealt and the highest scorer will win the game. Otherwise, the game continues. Each player draws one card if he has 0-5 or stands if he has 6 or 7. The banker draws a card depending upon his hand or if the player draws.
Baccarat Chemin de Fer
It is a variation of baccarat and is played with 6 pack full of cards shuffled together at the center of the table. The shuffling of the card is first done by the dealer and then by the players starting from their left.
The basic difference between Baccarat Chemin de Fer and Baccarat Banque is related to the banker. There are usually 3 packs of cards used in the game and the banker stays until his finances are maintained or the cards are not yet dealt with.
"Punto" means "Player", while "Banco" means "Bank", in reference to the two principal bets of the game. The object of the game is to bet on the hand, either "Punto" or "Banco" that you think will have a total of, or closest to, 9. Or to bet that both "Punto" and "Banco" hands will have the same total.
